Going above and beyond the call of duty April 18, 2009 Last week, a guest arrived from the airport by taxi for a week long business trip at one of our hotel properties. The guest, Mrs. Faulkner, had made arrangements to use a company vehicle on Monday morning, but her company mistakenly issued the vehicle to another executive employee in the company. This created an immediate issue as Mrs. Faulkner had an important business meeting out of the area that day. Upon hearing of the situation, our valet manager Itso Hristov did not hesitate to find a solution for the guest. Working in conjunction with the front desk staff, Itso immediately went to the nearest rental car agency, arranged for a last minute rental and brought the vehicle to the hotel for Mrs. Faulker. The guest made her out of town meeting on time that day and had the use of the vehicle for the remainder of her stay. Great Job Itso!
Signature Parking Valet Saves the Day, Again!
March 12, 2009 Mr. and Mrs. Evan Garrett of Orange County, CA recently chose one of our hotel properties for a nice weekend getaway to enjoy some rest and relaxation. After spending some time at the beach, the couple was walking back to the Hotel when Mrs. Garrett suddenly collapsed, unconscious in the parking lot, suffering from severe heat stroke. Luckily, Signature Parking employee Luke Savoy was nearby and immediately jumped into action. Luke was able to place his valet jacket on the concrete under Mrs. Garrett’s head, while he proceeded to perform resuscitation on her as she had stopped breathing. Moments later she gasped for air and regained consciousness. All was well except Mr. Garrett realized he had left their camera at the café where they had lunch near the beach. Luke immediately called the café, who secured the camera. In order to allow Mr. Garrett to stay at the hotel and care for his wife, Luke drove to the café after his shift, picked up the camera and delivered it to their room that evening. Needless to say, they were overwhelmed with gratitude by the care and service from our valet staff. Great Job Luke!
Signature Valet Saves the Day
January 31, 2009 Last night, our Watefront Restaurant valet employee Jake Joyner was approached by a man who had not valet parked with us, but had parked his vehicle several blocks away. The man was attending a boating outing with two of his children and once on the boat, the man realized he had left the child’s insulin in his car. As the lone adult on the boat, he was reluctant to leave his children and go back to his car for the much needed insulin. He approached our valet Jake, who immediately took the keys and sprinted two blocks to the customers car and sprinted back. The man was able to administer the insulin to his child which resolved the potential trauma. He was obviously grateful as he tipped Jake $100. Great Work Jake!!
